  • 65 Seeds of Change participants from both the NC and WNCC Conferences
  • Developed over $70M in the new or renovated property; 554,891 square feet
  • Eight multifamily projects developed totaling 328 units; 1,020 units in full portfolio
  • 56 properties currently under management including churches, parsonages, cemeteries, conference offices, district offices, and a mission response center


  • Awarded NCHFA LIHTC and City of Charlotte Housing Trust Fund funding for Mineral Springs Commons located on the former Cole Memorial UMC site. The 73-unit senior multi-family complex in Mecklenburg County will be joined by a new church start, commercial office space, retail space, and a presence of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte student Christian Coalition
  • Leased and completed the 15,000 square foot upfit of the WNCC Conference Center for Ryan Homes and NVR. This leased space makes the Conference Center self-supporting
  • Serve as a Owner’s Representative for Harrisburg UMC in Cabarrus County for campus renovations and addition. Completed in November 2020.
  • Partnered with an institutional investor to acquire a $61M portfolio of affordable housing properties
  • Completed a full inventory of the real estate assets of the WNCC resulting in 14,771,978 square feet, 7,692 acres, and 2,785 parcels
  • Began the development of detailed interactive GIS/database of properties incorporating substantial infrastructure and demographic data 
  • Awarded CAHEC Property of the Year Award for Prosperity Ridge
  • Church consulting; 29 engagements (Through 10/1/20)



  • Became a fully licensed North Carolina real estate firm with three brokers on staff
  • Completion of Cascade Garden, a 68-unit senior multi-family complex in Iredell County
  • Awarded contract for the Property & Asset management of the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church 
  • Awarded a 5-year contract for brokerage activity in the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church 
  • Completion of Prosperity Ridge, a 60-unit senior multi-family complex in Cabarrus County 
  • Awarded grant from The Duke Endowment to grow the work on church real estate asset transitions 
  • Church consulting; 31 engagements


  • Development of the new WNCC Conference Center, a 30,000 square foot class A office building that achieved LEED Gold and is supported by an 85kw net-metered rooftop solar array. The Conference and Metro District occupy the second floor
  • Continued assessments of church campuses to evaluate usage and further community engagement with the Seeds of Change program
  • Church consulting; 9 engagements


  • Named Owner’s Representative for the development of the WNCC Conference Center 
  • Website launch to highlight additional services offered beyond housing including real estate development and church consulting
  • Redeveloped Central UMC in Mecklenburg County to accommodate a five-star multi-cultural preschool



  • Completion of Rocky Mount UMC development including a 600-seat multipurpose sanctuary, classrooms, and office space in Iredell County 
  • Inaugural Seeds of Change class was held in Mecklenburg County with 8 churches from across NC  


  • Awarded a grant by The Duke Endowment to create Seeds of a Change training program for churches to begin the analysis of real estate assets owned and ways to reposition those assets for better missional and community engagement 
  • Completion of Arbor Glen, a 50-unit senior multi-family complex in Caldwell County
  • Housing North Carolina Award received for Willow Pond, an affordable multi-family housing complex in Davie County


  • Completion of Willow Pond, a 50-unit senior multi-family complex in Davie County
  • Completion of Timber Ridge, a 50-unit multi-family complex in Rutherford County

  • Acquired Wesley Hollows a 20-unit multi-family complex in Yadkin County
  • Housing North Carolina Award received for Wesley Heights, an affordable supportive housing community in Alexander County


  • Acquired Oakwood II, a 24-unit multi-family complex in Yadkin County

  • Completion of Wesley Heights, a 6-unit supportive house complex in Alexander County


  • Formation of Wesley Community Development Corporation to build affordable energy-efficient single-family homes in rural North Carolina 
  • 85 single family homes were built and credit counseling was offered prior to move in for all new homebuyers
  • In 2005, Wesley CDC was given the Housing North Carolina Award for Westglow, an affordable single-family home community in Iredell County
  • During this time Wesley, districts and churches affiliated with this work were awarded 13 grants by The Duke Endowment to support the continuation of affordable housing in Western North Carolina
